That which does not kill us makes us stronger.

bless them for letting baby girl keep her heritage

I peep them braids and that dress

I was just thinking this. She actually takes the children back to visit their family in their home country and they study about their own cultures. She isn’t one of those white people trying to assimilate her non-white children.

Angelina Jolie is a woman who uses her money and publicity to do wonderful, magnificent things. Bless her and this amazing family she has brought together.

I’m in love with their love

A Promise From a Christian

Jesus freaking loves you.

Even if you’re gay.

Even if you’re not a virgin.

Even if you’ve killed people.

Even if you don’t go to church.

Even if you hate him.

He freaking loves you so much that he died to prove it.

The Greatest Profession

I don’t like my job. I don’t like my profession. I want to do something else.

I want to be a writer. I love reading books and I want to write books, as well. I want to have those royalties that writers get. I want to have my own working time where I don’t need to go to an office and be stuck there from 7 in the morning until 4 in the afternoon. I dream of seeing my works in the bookstores I usually go to, but with the way I write this entry I think I still have to work on many things. Maybe that’s the reason God did not make me a writer.

I want to be a singer. I love music and I love singing. I love how high-paying this job is. I love the way singers get to travel to many places with pay and do the thing that they love the most—to sing. I love how singers never go on-stage without being beautiful. I dream of performing in front of many people and hearing my songs on the radio, but I get out of tune most of the time. Maybe that’s the reason God did not make me a singer.

I want to be a fashion designer. I love clothes and I love wearing them. I want a famous star wear something I created. I want to be paid for my artsy prowess. I want to be famous for my creativity and uniqueness in fashion designing. I love how this work sounds so classy and elegant. I want to be the one who’ll design my own gown when I marry. The bad thing is, I can’t even draw a straight line without the use of ruler. Maybe that’s the reason God did not make me a fashion designer.

What did God make me instead? He turned me into a Teacher. A person I would never want to be. A profession I would never want to get into. A job that does not give me an overtime pay even if I work more than 8 hours a day and even if I don’t get enough sleep just to finish the visual aids that I need for the following day. A job that requires you to be omniscient. A job that requires you to be good in Math (for fast computing of grades), in English (for writing all sorts of letters), in Science (for making up a good explanation about all sorts of science-related question like, “Why is my stomach achy?”), and in all subjects that exists. Regardless of what I’ve said, I only know one thing. God put me here because he wants me to influence many lives. He wants me to create a future writer, a future singer, a future fashion designer, and all other professions we have in this world. God has put me into this profession because He knows that this tiring, thankless, and low-paying job would make a lot of change in every child’s life.

Yes, I don’t like my job. I LOVE IT.

To all teachers out there, to my teachers, to my future teachers, and to the Greatest Teacher of all, HAPPY TEACHER’S MONTH.

Just because someone desires you, it does not mean that they value you.

Read it over.

Let those words resonate in your mind.
